Love Don't Live Here Page 7
She knew Neeman would be able to take car of Nyzir, but she was worried about who was going to keep Neeman out of trouble. What if Neeman was to go back to prison, who would Nyzir have then? Going to college had always been one of her biggest dreams, but she would put all that on hold for her brother.
“Nadi don’t do that to yourself. Nyzir will always be alright and well taken care of as long as I’m alive. You have always wanted to go off to college down south. Atlanta to be exact. Now I know you love Zir because I love him just as much. He’s my brother too, follow your dreams. He will understand, think about what Mama Nicole would want you to do,” Marisa said.
The only thing Nadia could do was sigh and nod her head. She knew Marisa was right. She had a while to make her decision, so she wasn’t going to dwell on it too much for right now.
“Here Zir, eat,” Nadia said.
“Not hungry,” he said as he stayed focused on the game.
“Either you eat or the game goes off.” She threatened him.
Nyzir knew his sister wasn’t playing with him, so he did as he was told. He paused his game before picking up his sandwich to eat. There was a knock at the door. Thinking it was Neeman, Nadia answered.
“Reese Cup!” Nadia yelled.
It wasn’t her brother though. It was Mario and Jax standing on the other side of the door. Marisa rushed into the living room to see what Nadia was yelling about. She sighed and told her to let them in.
“Damn Nadi, it’s zero damn degrees outside and you got us standing out here like we’re strangers. I thought we were better than that,” Jax complained as he walked in the house.
“My sister comes first, so if she didn’t want you in here you wouldn’t have got in,” Nadia said smartly.
She didn’t have a problem with Jax, actually she thought he was cool, but if her best friend wasn’t feeling him at the moment then she wasn’t either.
“Man Mario, get ya girl,” Jax told his cousin.
Nadia cut her eyes at Mario daring him to say something to her. Mario just shrugged his shoulders and went to sit by Nyzir, who thought he was slick and was playing the game again. Nadia walked over and took the game controller from Nyzir and Mario snatched it out of her hands, giving it back to Nyzir.
“Nyzir, I dare you to turn that damn game back on,” Nadia said through gritted teeth.
“Nadi-”
Mario tried to speak, but Nadia cut him off. “Don’t say shit to me.”
Mario jumped up and grabbed Nadia by her arm, taking her down to the hall to Marisa’s spare bedroom. He threw her in the room before slamming and locking the door.
“What the hell is up Nadia? I know you are not mad about that bullshit that happened almost a month ago,” he said.
“First off, don’t ever put your hands on me like that again.”
“Or what? You’re going to beat my ass and fracture my nose like you did Nisha?” He asked.
“So that’s what this is about? Because I beat your girls little sister’s ass?” Nadia laughed.
Her laughter didn’t last too long because she was being pushed up against the door before Mario pressed his lips against hers. Her grabbed both of her wrists and pinned them above her head as he parted her lips with his tongue.
Nadia didn’t even try to fight him off. She would be lying to herself if she said she didn’t miss Mario. She didn’t know why she felt so jealous and heartbroken when he allowed Natasha in his house.
“I miss you, girl,” he said as he broke the kiss.
“Mario I…”
Her voice trailed off as her phone started to ring. Seeing her brother’s name on the caller id, she sighed.
“Yes, Nemo?” She answered.
“Don’t try that sweet talk shit with me Nadia. What the hell you and Marisa getting suspended for? Fighting? Is that how we’re doing it now?” He asked all in one breath.
“Neeman, I promise to explain everything when I get home. Trust me, when I tell you what that bitch said, you’ll be happy I beat her ass.”
“Nadia chill, you know I don’t like you out here fighting. You and Reese are too pretty for that. Leave that to them ugly bitches. Tell your friend that she can ignore my phone calls all she wants to, I don’t mind making pop-up visits,” Neeman told his sister.
Nadia couldn’t help but to laugh. “Okay, big brother see you when I get home. Love you,” she said before hanging up.
When she looked up, Mario was staring at her intensely. She tilted her head to the side and looked at him funny.
“What?” She asked.
“You’re smiling more now. You seem happier, and I’m happy for you,” he said.
Nadia sighed as she scratched her head. She was grateful that Mario had been there for her during one of the worst times in her life. She was starting to feel bad for shutting him out when he had been a great confidant to her.
“Thank you,” she told him. “For everything.”
“I already told you, Nadia. You don’t have to thank me.” Mario waved her off.
“Yes I do, you barely knew me, but you were there when I needed you and I’m sure you had better things to do than to watch my crazy ass throw dishes around and have breakdowns.”
“I did it because I wanted to. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn’t change a thing,” he said to her.
The sincerity in his voice let her know that he meant exactly what he said. She smiled and opened her arms for a hug. Mario smirked as he stepped into her arms and pulled her into a big bear hug. Nadia didn’t know where this thing between them was headed, but she knew she wasn’t ready to give him up just yet.

Marisa was bored since she was suspended from school for five days and didn’t have anything to do. Neeman had Nadia on punishment where she couldn’t leave the house and Nyzir was at school, so she was bored. She threw on some yoga pants, her uggs, and her coat. She didn’t know where she was going, but she had to get out of the house.
As soon as she opened her door, she was met with Jax’s face. She rolled her eyes and backed up a little.
“What do you want Jamil?” She asked.
“Oh, so I’m Jamil today?” He chuckled. “Where you about to go?”
“Why?”
Biting his lip, he pushed Marisa back in the house and slammed her door.
“What the hell is your problem? You’ve been acting real funny lately, and I’m tired of it,” he told her.
“Then step!” She yelled. “I’m not asking you to be here. I was fine before, during, and I will be fine after you,” she told him.
“Oh, I get it,” he said as he grabbed her by her coat and started to unzip it.
“What are you…”
“Shut the hell up, you’ve said enough,” he told her as he threw her coat on the couch and picked her up.
Marisa did as she was told and shut up. She didn’t know what his crazy bipolar ass was about to do, but she was too scared to ask. Jax walked her up the stairs to her bedroom. When he reached her bedroom, he laid her down on the bed gently as he removed her boots. When he reached for her pants, she panicked.
“Jamil wait!” She said as she tried to sit up.
She may have had a few boyfriends in her life, but unlike Nadia, who lost her virginity to Jaron, she was still untouched. She had heard stories about how the first time hurt like hell, and she didn’t know if she was ready for all that just yet.
“What?” He asked.
“I’m a virgin,” she blurted out.
His eyes damn near bucked out of their sockets. He had spent the night over her house plenty of times, but they had never done anything, and now he knew why. He bent down and kissed her lips before trailing kisses all the way down her body until he reached her yoga pants.
“Just relax,” he told her.
He grabbed at the waistband of her pants and pulled them down. Since she lifted up for him to remove them completely, he took that as the green light for him to continue. He did the same
with her panties and went back up to her navel where he kissed it and stuck his tongue in it. This was all so new to Marisa, and she had never felt this before, so she let out a little giggle.
Jax licked his way down to her honey pot and gave it a gentle lick. He didn’t make it a habit to go down on every female he fucked, but he wanted Marisa’s first time to be special, and he wanted her to feel as good as he could. Marisa was in a whole other world as Jax sucked and licked as if it was the last supper.
Since she was a virgin, she had never experienced oral sex before, and she felt as if she was really missing out on life.
“Uhh, Jamil,” she moaned as she pushed his head back and tried to scoot away from him.
Jax pulled her back towards his mouth, latched down on her clit and sucked hard while he firmly held her in place. Marisa was feeling things she had never felt before and she wanted to call and curse Nadia out for not telling her what she had been missing out on.
Marisa’s body started to shake, and she felt as if she was having an out of body experience. Jax came up for air and kissed his way up her body. He smirked to himself because she didn’t have all that mouth she just had a few minutes ago.
“Alright, you ready?” Jax asked as he placed the head of his dick at her opening.
Marisa gulped before nodding her head yes. Jax slowly eased his way into her tight canal, and Marisa tensed up.
“The more you relax, the less it will hurt,” Jax told her as he was met with a barrier. “On the count of three I’m going to go straight in,” he warned her.
“Okay,” she said.
“One, two, three,” he said before he pulled out and forced himself in, breaking the barrier that held her hymen in place.
Marisa let out a loud scream that she was sure everyone on the block heard. Jax stayed there in place for a few letting the pain subside so she could adjust to his size. She clamped her eyes shut as Jax kissed away the two tears that escaped out of her eyes.
“You okay? What me to stop?” He asked with concern.
“No, we already came this far. Might as well finish.” She smiled weakly.
“You sure?” He asked.
Marisa didn’t bother to answer him as she just lifted her head and kissed him deeply. Jax took that as his cue to go head and continue. The pain mixed with pleasure caused Marisa to let out a small moan. Hearing that made Jax want to get buck wild, but he had to keep reminding himself that this was her first time, and he had to be gentle.
He had to bite his lip as he thought about all the different positions he was going to fold her little ass up in.
___
Mario and Jax sat in the car watching their mark for tonight. The nigga was some flashy ass supposed to be drug dealer who didn’t know how to stay low, so Jax and Mario were going to teach him a lesson tonight.
“Let’s hurry up, it’s too cold for this shit. I would rather be laying between my girls legs,” Jax laughed.
“I bet you would, she got your ass whipped already,” Mario cracked.
“Nigga, I know you are not trying to come at me when shorty had your ass all depressed and shit when she cut your ass off,” Jax told him.
“Shut the hell up and get ready, so we can do this shit.”
“I thought so nigga,” Jax laughed.
All conversations ceased as the duo checked their weapons to make sure they were fully loaded. It was very rare that they had to actually use their guns, but they always wanted to be prepared in the event that they had to. Mario pulled his bandana from his pocket and tied it around his face while Jax did the same.
“You ready?” Mario asked his cousin.
“I was born ready baby,” Jax told him before they got out of the car.
The cold winter air whipped past them as they briskly walked up to the house they were targeting. Jax watched his cousin’s back while Mario jimmied the lock like a pro. Mario was the first one to enter the dark house, he had no idea where he was going, but that wasn’t about to stop him.
POW! POW!
“Shit!” Mario yelled as he flew back with force.
Jax pulled his gun and shot in the direction the shots were being let off from. To say that they were caught off guard would be a damn understatement. They had no idea this shit would happen. Mario laid on the ground as he felt a fire burning in his chest.
POW! POW! POW!
Just knowing that his cousin got hit infuriated Jax. He was letting off shot after shot and didn’t give a damn who got hit. When all the gunfire concluded, he assumed the other shooter was taken out. He ran his hand over the wall until he found a switch. Thankful that he wore his gloves he flipped it on.
Sure enough, the nigga they planned on robbing was lying in a pool of his own blood looking like Swiss cheese.
“Bitch nigga,” Jax mumbled before his eyes traveled to Mario.
He bent down to pick him up. Even though Mario was the tallest out of the two, Jax was the more muscular one. Knowing one of the neighbors probably called the police, he rushed to get Mario out of the house.
“Hold on son, I got you.”
Mario had to bite his lip to keep from crying like a bitch because he was in so much pain. He had never been shot a day in his life and could have gone without it. As Jax sped away from the crime scene, Mario found it hard to stay woke. He felt himself slowly fading in and out of consciousness. The harder he tried to stay awake, the more darkness consumed him until everything went black.

Nadia jumped out of her sleep because something didn’t feel right to her. She couldn’t put her finger on what it was, but she had this nagging feeling that something was wrong. Just as she was about to get out of the bed to check on her brothers, his phone started ringing.
“Hello?” She answered nervously.
She knew something was definitely wrong if Jax was calling her at three in the morning.
“Nadi, I know it’s late, but I had to call you because I didn’t want you hearing it from anyone else. Mario got shot and he not doing too good right no,” Jax told her with a heavy heart.
“Shot?” She whispered into the phone. “Where are you? I’m on my way.”
“I don’t think it’s a good idea that you-”
“Where the hell are you Jamil?” Nadia cut him off.
“I’m at his crib. We have a doctor and nurse here and everything,” Jax told her.
That was all Nadia needed to hear before she hung up the phone. She didn’t know why the hell Jax didn’t just take him to the hospital if it wasn’t looking too good for him. She knew he and Mario were into something illegal, but she didn’t know exactly what they did. She was definitely going to get some answers in a few.
Nadia left two notes, one for Nyzir, and the other for Neeman explaining where she was at so they wouldn’t be worried, or Neeman wouldn’t try to flip on her ass. The whole ride to Mario’s house, Nadia’s hands were shaking out of fear. The two may have just gotten back on good terms, but she would never want to see him hurt. She couldn’t figure out exactly what Jax meant when he said he’s not doing too good.
When she pulled up on his block, she said a quick little prayer for him. She didn’t know how bad his condition was, but she asked God to watch over him and keep him. Before getting out of her car, she sent Jax a text letting him know she just pulled up. As she walked up to his house, Jax opened the front door.
“What the fuck Nadi, where’s your coat?” Jax asked.
Nadia looked down and realized that she didn’t have a coat on. She was in such a rush to leave the house that she wasn’t even thinking straight.
“Hurry up and get in here before you get sick,” Jax fussed.
“What happened and don’t lie to me Jamil.” Nadia used his real name so he would know that she was serious.
Jax was aware of the fact that Mario hadn’t told Nadia about what they did and he really didn’t want to be the one to tell her, but also felt that she shouldn’t be left in the dark. He led her to the
couch where they sat down, and he explained everything to her. From how they started being stick up boys up to the events of tonight that led to Mario being shot.
“Wow,” was all Nadia could say.
She couldn’t understand why Mario felt the need to keep all of this from her. She knew he wasn’t an angel, but all that didn’t matter to her. This had her wondering what else he could be keeping from her or would keep from her in the future.
“He felt like he was protecting you if he didn’t tell you,” Jax said.
“But you told Marisa right?” She asked.
“Yeah, but-”
“I want to see him.” Nadia cut him off.
“Alright, you know where his room is?”
Nadia nodded her head as she got up and walked up the stairs. She had no idea what she as about to walk in on but she needed to see him. When she walked into his room, she was amazed at the fact that they actually had it set up like a hospital room in there.
He had an IV, heart monitors, and all kinds of other tubes hooked up to his body.
“His mom works at the hospital, one of her doctor friends came and worked on him and got him together,” Jax said from the doorway.
“He removed the bullets?” Nadia asked.
“Yeah, he’s heavily sedated so he might be out of it until the morning.”
“Okay,” Nadia said she walked over to the empty side of the bed.
She kicked her shoes off, climbed into the bed and laid there before grabbing his hand, careful not to wake him or lay too close out of fear that she would hurt him. She laid on her side and just stared at him. There was gauze on his chest where she assumed the bullets were moved from. She sat up on the bed and kissed his forehead before lying back down.
Jax closed the door with a smile on his face. He knew Mario would be good in her hands.
___
The next morning Nadia was being woken up to someone lightly shaking her. She was a little dazed and confused, so she jumped out of her sleep.
